2010~!! Hi I'm bacK!! ... to lament.

Ok i suppose half year's tribute is more enough huh... LOL..

Anyway happy 2010 to all of you who ever still check my blog to see if i'm alive.

Time flies really quickly, it's Tiger year now, my 2nd cycle already, a few more cycles to go before i ended up in dust. Hai...

Have to scrutinise into what i really want this year, in life i mean, not just this year. Anyway, my wishlist for this year...

1st thing on my list, is my job.

In many ways my job is fine.. the pay is fine, the jobscope can be said to be fine, welfare in terms of employee programmes and other benefits are fine, the people are nice too.. but... i still feel like i'm dragging myself to work everyday, can feel my energy being sapped away sia.

Perhaps it's the nature of the job i'm not passionate about, perhaps it's the age group of people which makes me unclickable (i only click wif special ppl), perhaps it's the burnt wkends i'm concerned about, perhaps it's my declining social life, sleep, and health (i'm sitting 90% of my time now) i'm totally worried about...

Yes perhaps i need a job change. But what kinda job? I need a job with a mix of young and old and preferably lots of hunky guys , a job where i can work as a team with rotating leadership roles, a job where i can do different stuff and learn different things everytime, a job with decent pay, a job where i can make a change to the community AND can see substantial results (not just picking litter/tuition a kid kind). Where does my passion lies and that can follow me through a lifetime? I don't know man. Been asking myself this question plenty of times till i got a headache and yet still no answer. But till i got an answer, i suppose i'm still stuck here. IF any of you have an advice or suggestion, please comment something (also to water my dying comment box).

Secondly, my social life.

The no. of young people i'm interacting with enjoys the same downturn together with the US economy after i left uni. And whatever close friends that remain, also got attached at the same period, and bonding time is now divided by 2 - the boy/girlfriend 90%, friend 10%. :'(

So this year, I hope i can meet more like-minded people whom I can click with, join more activities to know more people, hopefully gain a skill in the meantime.

Hopefully my job schedule allows me to do that.

Thirdly, i want to get my driving lisence this year.

Hopefully before my PDL expires in Feb . oops.

Fourthly(??), develop more good habits, such as exercising regularly.
Need an exercise buddy(ies) for this, anyone?? Weekly badminton/cycling sounds good for me, but try to keep it daytime, or i'll die of exhaustion.

Fifthly, new skills.

Maybe take up dancing once more, or take up 1 water sports course like windsurfing/canoeing/kayaking/wakeboarding etc... Anyone who's interested pls jio me too.

Sixthly, spend more time with family and visiting my grandma.

Seventhly, is to be a better person, treat others better if they deserve it. oops. Treat even better those who appreciates. :D

Eighthly, be updated - read more books, watch more news/ read more newspaper...

Ninthly, lose 20 kg (haha, as always)

Tenly, enjoy life at the very moment.:D

What about you? What is it that you want???

Remember The Time Of Michael Jackson

First thing in the morning, i woke up at 6+am... " Michael Jackson has passed away. We have confirmed the pop star Michael Jackson has just passed away..." over and over again the news reporter kept saying, like a spoilt CD player.

I only slept 4 hours, and my dad had to watch Channel Newsasia so early in the morning!! :(( Secondly, one of my favourite pop singer is gone! 2 months ago, I chanced upon one of his songs and I xing xue lai chao, and read his bio on wiki and listen to all of his songs. Then later I heard that he's going to perform at concerts again, I was quite elated that he was going to chong chu jiang hu again after all these years. But as sudden as his return to the music industry, he went off just like that.

Hai... what a waste, I have always loved his songs and his dance moves, especially Moon Walk (of course). I remember when i was in my primary school days, I loved his "We Are The World" and "Heal the World". Would go write down (that time no printer) the lyrics and memorise by heart also.

Then later my parents bought his Dangerous Album, that's when i fall in love with his other titles too, like "Black or White", "Remember the Time" etc etc.. Although I don't really understand what's exactly going on in his personal life, or what he's actually thinking: bleaching himself, going for plastic surgery to look like half-freak, marrying women just because he loves children, makes his children wear veil all the time, displaying his baby by dangling him/her (i can't rem) out of the window sill, or even molesting children (still debatable tho); but his songs and dances really touches the core of my heart.

And despite all his scandals and weird behaviours, you must give him credit for his charitable heart. He donated generously and has raised millions of dollars through his foundation, and some of his songs are also for charity, appealing for a good cause. He regularly brings little children , especially the underprivilleged ones, to his theme park home as well..

In the music industry, he singly changed the pop culture on his own, invented many dance moves that are still popular even today (think moon dance, and robotic dance), no doubt the King of Pop. His songs are also so god damn popular, i think everyone must have heard most of his songs before (many rendtions of his songs by today singers), just that you might not know it's his songs. Ain't no sunshine, i just discovered today, was actually his song too!! He sang that when he was a child.

Will always remember him man.. The greatest music icon of all times.

I kicked on my shin. :'(

Hai... Another suey thing happened to me again. While we were making our way to the Hawker centre, we walked through the playground and I was quite engrossed talking my colleague and didn't really see where I was heading.

Until... BanG!

My shin hit on the metal thingy which serves as the balancing-walk obstacle at the playground. Ouch sia... It's damn painful lar.. Sure enough, like what they say, now there's a big patch of blue-black on my shin le sia.. :'(

But the only good thing is that this cute colleague of mine showed his concern by asking how's my leg.. Then somehow ah, suddenly my shin not that painful liao... Hahaha.. Ya ya i know, i can be THAT hua chi at times lar...

Hai, tomorrow have briefing!!! Sian! Better go sleep liao...

Did anyone get weird calls recently??

From 5 days ago, i've been receiving 2 -3 missed calls from unknown numbers. The first day i received from 64255142 and 65616431. I think it must be some insurance company wanting to pester me to buy insurance so i simply ignore them.

Then 3 days later I received 4 calls, from 6568739o, 65687415, 65610106 and a private number. I called 2 of them, 1 was a fax machine and for the other number,no one picked up the phone. So i ignored them again.

Until today, which is so ridiculous man! I received 15 calls for the past 2 hours! Kao.. All starting from 6568 7+++. Called 2 of their numbers and they told me it's ST Electronics, and both told me that they haven't made any calls to me. I called Singtel and they said there's nothing wrong with my phone. And they told me to call the corporate line tomorrow. If the problem is still not rectified, I'm going to change my phone number sia. It's super irritating to receive 1-ring calls every 10-15mins lo. :( And i've always been careful about divulging my mobile number to other companies, much less some company as remotely-linked to me as ST Electronics sia..

Anyone having the same problem out there???

What I've Done on a Sunday

Been nua-ing at home today, but it's not really a bad feeling since it's a long time since i've the luxury of staying at home for the entire day. And what I've achieved... Finished 2 movies!! A walk to remember and The Break Up. Ok lar, not super nice but still watchable.. Also tried twittering, but so far no one in my hotmail add has signed up, or at least not with their msn add. So a bit bored also..

On Sat I was at Suntec, helping to promote our company's services to the silver community. And wow I must say it's quite well done, there're lotsa organisations on that day, and lotsa fun activities too... There's mass dancing at the Fountain of Wealth area, singing, games like sudoku and board games from Settler's Cafe, and even arcade machines! Lol... suddenly ageing doesn't sound too bad sia... And of course there're short talks on TCM, health, insurance and savings.. which are quite informative as well. This is probably the largest scale Active Aging Festival C3A has organised so far, many seniors turned up, which is quite good especially for me since I managed to get a few seniors to put their names down for my volunteer programme. Wahhaa...

K peeps, I gotta go.. Meanwhile enjoy Kris' songs~ ( I still prefer him to Adam, though many said he deserved to win instead.)

Another of my random ramblings

Just back from badminton session again. Today i learnt how to hold the racket in a backhand grip... After these years of playing, i didn't even know there's forehand and backhand grips sia.. Lol.. But other than that, no significant improvement sia, sighs... Don't know how long will it take for me to master this sport, probably never.

*****
I just went to top my EZ-link card lately, and the machine only allows me to buy my concession up till end of this month, and that's it. I no longer can use my concession!!! Sighs, meaning i've to spend about $40-50 more monthly for my travelling sia. :'(
My dad quoted from the New Paper yesterday, saying that graduates are shameful, lying that they are full-time students though they have already graduated. But hey, times are bad man...and since there's this loophole, it would be really silly if you don't take advantage of it. haha..
*****
Oh and i saw Bakerzin has this 50% off on its cheesecakes! Anyone interested to enjoy la kopi with moi while having those rich and creamy desserts?? Shoot...feeling hungry already. Think i better go rummage my fridge for some snacks now before my stomach wakes the whole family up.. haha..

What I've Done during my off day

Today's my off day.

Guiltily I haven't done anything productive, but it's been justified, I haven't got much sleep the past few weeks, especially the past few days, what with bbq, events, morning errands to do for the company -_-. So tiring... Finally i got to sleep!!! And proudly i slept a total of 11.5 hours~!! That's a record i haven't beaten since my year 1 when i slept for 16 hours after a tiring orientation camp.

Oh, and i finally finish 100th chapter of Detective Conan manga today...(don't know which volume) But i'm going to skip from now on, there's like 695 chapters and still going on~!! I can never finish at this rate sia... But i love the stories~ Shall be my official bedtime story for now. hah~

Yeah, and i also managed to tidy my closet sia, been a long time since i did that.. I've to do it today, cos if i don't, I can't squeeze another piece of clothing in there already. Yes, it's that packed! Guess, I'm gotta add that to my long list of resolutions - to keep my tidy consistently! Hehe..

Ok, it's late now, will blog another time~
Nitezzz...

My grandma's here again!

Hi Peeps!! If there are still anyone around reading this blog that is. Haha...

The last time i blogged, my grandma lived with us for the first time, she stayed for a week, and left, now she's back again! Which marks the start of my homecooked feasts ahead. LOL... I'm so blessed indeed. ^_^

*****

Just to update, ever since then I went to Hong Kong with my family and went to Taiwan with Wanshi and a few other BHID peeps.. It's damn fun~ very adventurous and outdoor and NATURE type of vacation...Totally my ideal way of spending my holidays man!!

Taiwan (specifically Hualien!)'s scenery is really really pretty~ There are cliffs everywhere (at Taroko Park), there are greeneries everywhere, and the food is yummy too !! And why i loved it is that their ocean is... wow~ Ok, at least for someone who lives in Singapore practically forever, and when she finally sees a sea that is really blue instead of muddy brown, you can't blame her for being awestruck right??? Hee...

I guess i'm a very nature person, especially when it's associated to water. I can sit at the beach for hours just admiring the ocean, listen to waves, play in the sand or jump in the lagoon even though i'm not dressed for it~ Ask YenL or Wanshi,...and they'll tell you that i'm very random. :S

I really wish i have the time to blog about it and share the pictures with you guys, but i've absolutely NO TIME!! grrr.... Any spare time i have i would be sleeping to replenish my energy. Yes i'm one who needs lotsa sleep to function the next day. Yet lately i think i'm having trouble sleeping, think i might be having insomnia sia, suffering from chronic fatigue.. :(

*****
After not blogging for so long, i kinda missed this space where i can crap and blog about nonsense. So i'll try to blog a bit more regularly from now on. Jiayou Yiling!! haha..

Today is the second day my grandma stayed with us!!

Together with her, comes along the maid as well...

And oh my god, ever since we're like living in paradise...

Suddenly the house feels clean and smells clean!! Lol...

And every night there's yummy HOMECOOKED food~!!!

Shioks~ 1st time i ate 2 bowls of rice in a loooonnng while man!!

Ever since she came, the whole house seems to be more cheerful, and everyone starts to be more talkative too... Like everyone becomes more alive too~
