Last week, i found out that Missy Donuts are like the latest craze right now...
Despite my phobia of donuts (thanks to those diabetic-inducing donuts in US), i decided to give these donuts a chance... Ha...
And to my surprise, they were nothing like those hard and stale-dough tasting donuts sold in the Employee Cafeteria~ In fact, they were very soft and not too sweet... YumS..
The Strawberry and White Chocolate ones are especially nice...
Talking about phobias... I realised i've developed quite a few ever since i've returned from the States.
Apple and Cinnamon flavoured pastries:
There was once i bought this whole Apple pie because it was cheap and it looked super yummy.. And in the end, it took me about 2 weeks to finish it~!!! Was quite sick of that smell ever since, even McDonald's apple pie don't interest me anymore... That's probably the reason why i don't enjoy the Missy Donut's Apple and Cinnamon donut too...
McDonald and Burger King:
That's the 2 cheapest fast food restaurants in US... That we ate them every single day..
Someday we have 1 BK breakfast,
some day we have 1 BK lunch,
someday we have it for dinner...
Someday we even have 2 BK meals...
Same goes for Mac...
I can't remember a day we didn't enter one of these 2 restaurants..
Lolx...
And what's worse.. is that the new fast food restaurant opened in Arts has to be my
favourite Burger King...!!!!
Is there no other fast food liao???
I thought
KFC always like to compete with Mac?? Why don't they have one in Arts now?
Yoshinoya is a healthy choice.. Students' favourite.. Esp Arts girls...
Mos Burger is a relative new fast food... by having their branch in the campus, they can certainly increase their popularity and recognition among the students what... Especially students here are of the most impressionable age now.. Some of them may stay loyal to that restaurant for life...
So why don't they have a branch here in Arts??
Sighs... Ok, maybe they did try but it's BK who won... I don't really know..
But..... Why BK???!!!!
Some other changes in my Preferences...
Clothes:I find my 90% of my previous Wardrobe pretty sian now...
Threw and gave away 40-50% of the stuff already...
I shall give the rest a chance...
Lest i should like em again in the future.. Haha...
I no longer find Giodarno or Bossini that interesting anymore...
Suddenly find the tops here super small and short...
Ice cream:I've gotten used to eating ice cream every day over there...
I think this habit stuck to me even now... Oops... Haha...
Walking:I can't really sit still for hours nowadays.. I've gotten too used to walking already, that i rather walk from the interchange to my home than take the feeder bus...
Distances:When we were asking for directions in US, the people always say,
" It's not far away... It's walkable... Just a couple of blocks down the road..."
And the actual distance is about 3-4 typical bus stops here in Singapore...
We have not much choice anyway, there's no bus for short distances...
Their buses are only for long distances...
Plus i think we walked about 1-2 km just to reach our workplace every single day back in Cedar Point. In fact most of the time i even have to run those distances...
You don't have to know why...
I remember there was once i ran all the way from the entrance to the back of the park
without stopping just to catch Maverick before the crowd comes in at 9am... All within 7 mins... when it usually took me 20 mins to walk there sia.. Lolx...
So back here... Suddenly i find that a lot of places are actually very near... Like from the interchange to my home... Only 2 bus stops.. And i used to think it's like a desert away...
In NUS, I never knew one could ever walk from SDE to Central Library...
Until i ran from the SDE bus stop to the Central Library bus stop the other day...
You all also don't have to know why...
Then i thought.. Hey, it's not far at all... Why the hell did i ever think it's far in the first place???
Perhaps it's due to the BMT training during our travelling that i've become stronger liao...
*Flex arm muscles*
haha...
Did i mention how i carry about 40 kgs of luggage once every 3-4 days????
And walk that freaking 11 streets long journey under that super freaking hot sun?!?!?!?!?
That's probably the longest and worst part of the training liao...
Eh, actually not true.. Cos after that my bags got heavier with my later shoppings... =S
But nvm...
The people there are very friendly though.. That pretty makes my training more tolerable... Lol..
Complete strangers offered to help me carry my luggage...
except 1 or 2 who helped and then asked for donations later...
But generally they are all pretty kind, friendly and helpful there...
Bored life:I find my student life even more boring after i came back...
I can no longer sit still in the library for hours like i used to...
I hate not doing anything at all at a single point of time...
I become restless pretty easily nowadays..
So please jio me to do anything.. anything at all...
Cos I'm FREE~!!!
Things i miss there...
The huge picturesque open spaces over there~!!!!
The sky, the clouds and the Sun...
The beautiful trees and the roads...
The fairytale houses over there...
The huge fields~
Maybe when i'm old, i shall spend my retirement there..
