Just back from badminton session again. Today i learnt how to hold the racket in a backhand grip... After these years of playing, i didn't even know there's forehand and backhand grips sia.. Lol.. But other than that, no significant improvement sia, sighs... Don't know how long will it take for me to master this sport, probably never.

I just went to top my EZ-link card lately, and the machine only allows me to buy my concession up till end of this month, and that's it. I no longer can use my concession!!! Sighs, meaning i've to spend about $40-50 more monthly for my travelling sia. :'(
My dad quoted from the New Paper yesterday, saying that graduates are shameful, lying that they are full-time students though they have already graduated. But hey, times are bad man...and since there's this loophole, it would be really silly if you don't take advantage of it. haha..

Design wise, it has to be Samsung and LG liao... maybe 1 or 2 models from Motorola and another few from Sony Ericsson...
User-friendliness, i think Nokia won hands down... and Sony Ericsson second on the list...
Functions wise, no doubt...Nokia and Sony Ericsson. In fact the top 10 mobile sets in CNETAsia all belong to these 2 giant brands.
And of course the most important factor... the price.
What's the use of having all these qualities and features if it's not within my budget?? Lolx...
Anyway... after a super long consideration and a series of elimination... It boils down to W890i and N81. Actually i also considered W910i and W580i... cos they both looks really sleek and stylish and the features are not bad too... But i heard W910i has lots of lag problems...typical of SE OS. I really liked W580i a lot and it's relatively cheap too...but it has many negative feedbacks too.
W890i so far has not yet any major problems and the ratings at cnet is quite high too... the camera has 3.2 megapixel.. its sony walkman phone technology sounds promising... plus its slim and mocha-tinted body is much more attractive than N81's design... It's also in candy-bar form, and this design has less issues as compared to slides, swivels or clamshell forms... And it cost about $268... though don't sound cheap, but the promotion claims the price is after a discount of $360 already. Plus there's free Sean Kingston tickets...
But N81 has Wifi functions, and it has dual stereo speakers...something that W890i lacks and that draws me to it a great deal after i've seen my mom's 6233 speakers too... The screen is large and is of 1.6 million colours.. plus it's user friendly, much fewer complaints of lag problems than SE phones. And also students only need to pay $199 for it~ Sounds perfect. The design is the only factor.. it's a little obiang... and thick. And i don't really like slide phones coz as mentioned above, it's a greater victim of wear and tear..
Soo.... it's design vs functions right now... In the end, i picked the N81... due to the price factor as well as the speakers... Cos what i really want is a good music phone. The large 1.6 million coloured screen is also a great contributor... (Now i watch a few MVs with it.. and it's damn clear...) Of course, and also the WiFi connectivity... it's super convenient.. can read blogs and check emails with it -- for free~~~ (as long as you have the network that is..) Now i won't have to depend on GPRS and risk paying $6000 for my bills le sia... lol...
Plus now is the best time for me get a new line... SIM card and registration waived. 50% off your original bill for 1st 6 months. Unlimited SMS (with the typical 1st 500 smses condition attached). Then my mom had this Bingo Lotto machine which can generate random numbers. (It's given to her by her colleague, who used it as a toto machine.)
I have never been interested in toto, cos our maths teachers always told us how slim the probability is to win anything... And it's really damn hard to pick the 6 correct numbers out of 45 lor...
But this little machine looks fun and interesting, plus i wanna test whether the lucky numbers are accurate or not, so i decided to give it a try just for fun.
1st time: i put all the 45 balls in it, and randomly draw 7 numbers (system 7)
2nd time: i picked out all the numbers which contain only 0, 1, 3 and 4s. Eg 1, 3, 4, 10, 11, 13, 14, 30, 43 etc... I also added the '08' ball.. everyone knows it's a huat no..., how can i bear to deny its chance of being chosen??? lolx... Then i put these chosen balls in the machine and then randomly draw 7 numbers from it. The 7 numbers were: 08, 10, 11, 31, 40,42,43. (I can't rem how 42 get into the machine le.. haha)
And my mom really went to buy both combinations yesterday man...
Then she asked me to check, along with 1 that she bought herself, as well as one shared ticket with her colleagues which contains 5 combinations bah.
The shared ticket... Only 1 or 2 numbers out of all the 5 combis!!! Faints!
The quick pick she bought... None came out.
My 1st combi.. 1 or 2 numbers came out.
My 2nd... 4 numbers. I was so dui man... Cos initially i thought 1 more number i would have won a prize~~ Later i told my mom, she went to check and then told me 4 numbers is also considered a winning ticket... So in the end, we won the Group 6 cat (3+1 combi). The lowest pay-offs....

Anyway, yesterday i was watching on SCV this taiwan singing competition... 超級星光大道. i think the competition ended quite some time ago le.. but i only saw it on tv yesterday...
And i'm totally hooked liao~~!!! Their singing are all so good lor~ Especially the challenger 蕭敬騰 sia.. He sang with such great emotion that i also fell in love with the song he sang lor.. which is 背叛 by 曹格...

Hah... After 1 n a half months since i cut my hair, i finally began to like it liao...
Initially i don't really like it lor... told the hairdresser i wanted to keep it long, that hairdresser reassured me, "Don't worry, i'll just cut your hair to shoulder length.."
I gave her the green light, thinking that shoulder length is still acceptable...
BUt NO...
She happily snipped and snipped, till in the end my hair was only a little below the ear... Kns...
But now ok lar, after this 1 and a half month, exactly 45 days, i find that this hair actually quite not bad sia.. Super low maintenance man~ Don't need to comb as many times as before, so more still can remain relatively neat... lolx~!!
Some more this hairstyle also suits my natural-curled hair, which used to be a nuisance before... There are people who even thought i went to perm my hair~~~ Hehe... So i forgive that hairdresser liao... HAHA!
In addition, because it's a neighbourhood salon, it's also cheaper than professional ones.. So no complaints... lolx~
So overall... I like my hair! HA! =D
PS. Sorry for this fei4 post ya, but i'm a bit sick of looking at the notes liao... especially ones that i totally can't make the head or tail out of it sia... haha~

Actually my dad was quite glad that the TV spoilt, now he had an excuse to buy a new TV... Faints.. lolx...
He actually was tempted to buy a more high-end TV, but the salesperson persuaded him to buy one which is more established in the technology le.. k la, namely the LCD technology.. and not the newest full HD 1080 kind, because it is still a very new technology and not worth the price at all.. If you had taken any marketing module, you would know what i'm talking about..
But anyway, the money saved was used to buy a new sofa too!!! Haha!
Yeah, we spent the whole afternoon shopping for these furnitures sia, that i don't really have time for my homework... I was kinda cheated, cos i only agreed to go out just to have lunch with them, and in the end they dragged till evening time~!!! =S
But never mind, it's not too bad considering we'll soon have a new 40" LCD TV and a new Castilla sofa!!!! =DD
This morning... as i was rushing on my way to the bus stop, there's this malay teenager boy, (should be in secondary school or JC bah..) who smiled at me at a distance away..
My eyes quite blur today, so i can't tell who's smiling at me.. Maybe i saw wrongly..
He's sitting at this seat in the void deck...
And as i walked nearer to him, he smiled and said, "Hey hi.."
I'm terribly late le, so i didn't stop, but just gave him a longer stare. And realised that....
I really don't know him. haha.. Or i really can't remember who he was.
So i just showed him my "???" face, gave him a watery smile and then walked off....
And further analysing, i don't remember having a friend his age. And all my brother's friends that i've met are all chinese. So i can't possibly know him bah...
All i can conclude is, kids nowadays are getting friendlier and friendlier... lolx..
French tutorial is getting more of a torture lately... Cos i don't know what is said in class!!! Don't know why suddenly the whole class seemed so fluent in speaking french sia~ Only me gong gong, don't know what is going on... Sigh!!! Also maybe because i only put in minimal effort in it bah.. Hai.
Shit. Yesterday ah gong told me that this Anastasia cartoon song -- Once Upon a December, which is my favourite animated movie song ever, has a French version... Ever since, i can't seem to get it out of my mind sia~~ I even re-watched the VCD again sia~ lolx... Ya, why didn't i think that this cartoon has a french version ar??? After all, this cartoon setting takes place in France... In it, they even had Nicholas Tsar II and the evil Rasputin, who influenced the Tsarina and indirectly caused the fall of the Russian royal empire.. so interesting sia~ I remember thanks to this cartoon, i became a little more interested in Russian history sia~ lolx...
I still remember how i was so disappointed when i realised that the real story about Anastasia is that actually the girl who claimed herself as Anastasia was actually a fraud.. and that the real one was dead, only her body was never discovered. Also that the grandmama never did love the grand daughter like what was portrayed in the movie... In the movie, Tsar Nicholas was also portrayed as this smart good guy who died in the hands of the evil Rasputin, but what the movie left out was that he was not a very smart political leader who listens to his wife for advice most of the time... And this Tsarina listens and takes advice from Rasputin (because he somehow seemingly miraculously cured her sick son of a incurable illness). So Rasputin was somehow the mastermind behind-the-scenes... interesting sia... but never mind, that's not the point.. Haha..
I know i just changed my song to La Vie En Rose yesterday, but the Once Upon a December keeps ringing in my head the whole day~ So i've decided to change again.. Hah... to all the Anastasia movie songs (english and french versions)...especially Once upon a december, Journey to the past, as well as At the Beginning which are my favourites!! haha... Enjoy!!
