赌场风云~~ And many HK favs...

After watching so many dramas of different cultures,
I still love HK dramas the best!!!

HK dramas, especially TVB dramas~!!
They usually have the depth, have the smooth flow of storyline...
And storylines are usually well thought of, full of clever schemes and devious plots,

and funny too..

Just finished Safe guards... Quite nice!!

And right now i'm clinging onto every episode of Dicey Business ~~
Very nice and touching...

Having watched quite a few HK movies, of course i began to take notice of some TVB actors... Heh.

Like Kevin Cheng from Under the Canopy of Love...
( He was the Best Actor 2006 for that series too)
and Trimming Success...

DR.. feel happy rite.. Charmaine is in the pic too...Don't drool too much aR! lol!

Ron Ng also caught my attention in Revolving Doors of Vengeance.. But so far that's the only nice drama he acted in...

Joe Ma... what can i say?? he definitely has the charms... A pity he's already 40...
Charmed me in The Gâteau Affairs, Revolving Doors, Lady Fan and Maidens' Vows...

Frankie Lam... Also quite cute, but 41 liao... and already taken anyway... by none other than the female lead of Revolving Doors, Kenix Kwok...
Some leading series he acted in... Face to Fate, Placebo Cure, Ten Brothers and the Virtues of Harmony series...
Yup, they are a couple in real life too~

The upcoming seems like a big production... Many big-shot actors and actresses acting in this one... including actresses like Jessica Hsuan, Charmaine Seah, Myolie Wu; and actors like Joe Ma, Ron Ng, Raymond Lam, Michael Miu etc...
Can't wait for SCV to show this!!

Take care of your health!!

I'm reminded of something today...

Health's important no matter what age you are
Be mindful of your health constantly
Life's precious
It can be so vulnerable sometimes
No one knows what may happen tomorrow
Do appreciate the people we have around us

I'm gonna hug my mom later.

Yesterday....

11am: JJ told me he's not coming for lect, Melissa also not coming either.

2pm: I left my textbook after lecture. When i went back 15 mins later (only 15!!), it's gone. @#%#@!!

5.30pm: A crazy storm broke out... only right after my lessons, when i was about to return home.. And guess what?? yup, no umbrella...

7pm: I realised i forgot to close my bedroom window (only one of the rare times i forgot!), and my bro went out without closing it either. In the end, my entire room was drenched!

My bed, with a layer of bedsheet, 2 layers of thin mattress, a thick layer of spring mattess plus a layer of cardboard at the bottom... when i lift up all the mattresses, the cardboard was dripping wet!!!
My notes... all inks were smudged!! can even see the whole series of inkblots we learnt in our secondary school chemistry.. wow.
My books... all wet!
My laptop... A miniature waterfall when i lifted it! i still don't dare switch it on yet.

8pm: My wisdom tooth, which has given me trouble over the past few days... finally gave me its best shot of pain... My jaws hurt too.. so bad that i can't even open my mouth big enough to bite a fishball... Had to take a panadol to stop the pain...

9pm: My bro's mug was so near the edge of the basin... forever.. can't he put it inner?? When i was brushing my teeth, i accidentally sent it over the edge... And of course, being non-plastic, you know what happens... What an omen!!!

Think i'm too tired after all these emotional dips, that i did nothing at all after that and fell asleep at 11... probably one of the earliest bedtime i've ever had this month... or even this sem...

One conclusion: I hate yesterday!

STRESSSED ~~~

So i must complain here...!!!

And that must be also why this is the third blog of today...

I suddenly feel tis sem super no life sia..

Don't know why this sem my timetable so packed, workload also so heavy as compared to my previous sems... Tian arh... So busy like hell...

And it seems to me that almost everyday people were talking to me about term papers, working hard, projects, exams and jobs... Which leaves me no room for taking a break from all these stress~!!! So much so now i also have nothing else to talk about except all these~~!!!! *Faint!*

Ok, maybe except CSC which allows me some kind of breather... Otherwise i'm really going insane soon sia...

I need this...

BADLY~~~

Euthanasia

Oh my god.. the poor french lady...
It's bad enough she contracted such a terrible incurable cancer...
Which disfigured her terribly...
Her kids got scared and actually ran away from her...
To lose your pretty looks, to lose your sense of smell, taste and sight, to be shunned away by the rest of the world is really devastating enough... And now her own kids got frightened of her as well... Sighs...

No wonder she pleads for euthanasia...

But hey, no matter how terrifying she looks, she's still their mom right... Wa lao... SOCIAL SUPPORT is important~!! SOCIAL SUPPORT!! Probably because of the unbearable pain, her pessimism of the disease, and also due to lack of social support... She killed herself (most probably, cos no details given) eventually...

Poor lady...

One probably needs lots of courage to continue living with a disease like hers...

Double bombs

I just found out...

not just one... But BOTH of them were ....

Arrggghhhh... why like that??!?!!??! :'-(

Dashed hopes once more.. Guess i've to look elsewhere again~~

Sighs..

Haha~

Which handphone to buy???

This is what i asked my mom endlessly over the past few days... as i racked my brains on which one is the best for me...

Design wise, it has to be Samsung and LG liao... maybe 1 or 2 models from Motorola and another few from Sony Ericsson...

User-friendliness, i think Nokia won hands down... and Sony Ericsson second on the list...

Functions wise, no doubt...Nokia and Sony Ericsson. In fact the top 10 mobile sets in CNETAsia all belong to these 2 giant brands.

And of course the most important factor...
the price.

What's the use of having all these qualities and features if it's not within my budget??
Lolx...

Anyway... after a super long consideration and a series of elimination...
It boils down to W890i and N81.
Actually i also considered W910i and W580i... cos they both looks really sleek and stylish and the features are not bad too... But i heard W910i has lots of lag problems...typical of SE OS. I really liked W580i a lot and it's relatively cheap too...but it has many negative feedbacks too.

W890i so far has not yet any major problems and the ratings at cnet is quite high too...
the camera has 3.2 megapixel..
its sony walkman phone technology sounds promising...
plus its slim and mocha-tinted body is much more attractive than N81's design...
It's also in candy-bar form, and this design has less issues as compared to slides, swivels or clamshell forms...
And it cost about $268... though don't sound cheap, but the promotion claims the price is after a discount of $360 already. Plus there's free Sean Kingston tickets...

But N81 has Wifi functions,
and it has dual stereo speakers...something that W890i lacks and that draws me to it a great deal after i've seen my mom's 6233 speakers too...
The screen is large and is of 1.6 million colours..
plus it's user friendly, much fewer complaints of lag problems than SE phones.
And also students only need to pay $199 for it~ Sounds perfect.
The design is the only factor.. it's a little obiang... and thick.
And i don't really like slide phones coz as mentioned above, it's a greater victim of wear and tear..

Soo.... it's design vs functions right now...
In the end, i picked the N81... due to the price factor as well as the speakers... Cos what i really want is a good music phone. The large 1.6 million coloured screen is also a great contributor... (Now i watch a few MVs with it.. and it's damn clear...) Of course, and also the WiFi connectivity... it's super convenient.. can read blogs and check emails with it -- for free~~~ (as long as you have the network that is..) Now i won't have to depend on GPRS and risk paying $6000 for my bills le sia... lol...

Plus now is the best time for me get a new line...
SIM card and registration waived.
50% off your original bill for 1st 6 months.
Unlimited SMS (with the typical 1st 500 smses condition attached).
Campus Calls free - outgoing included. (Capped at 333 mins)
Free 1 year Caller ID.
For my phone, N81:
I saved $100+ now for buying this phone at student rate.
They gave an additional 1 gb of memory card, so now i have 3gb in total.

So overall a very good deal indeed...
Those who wanna upgrade handphones now is a good time oso~!! Do it quick..
Think the promo ends on 14th Mar.. thereafter, may not have such a good deal liao...
Quick~~!!

Farewell A55

It finally died of old age...
ok, maybe with a little push from me...

It served my dad for 2-3 years, then it was passed to my mom, and it served her loyally for another 2-3 years... Later. like a family heirloom or wat, it was finally given to me...

It was going well, though i dropped it frequently, but it is still in good condition... Until it finally couldn't take it last thursday, when i dropped it at the forum... Then it bade me farewell for good...

Siemens A55

Yup, so now i'm officially handphone-less these few days... That will explain why i didn't reply to any of your smses or calls... But don't worry, i'll get a new one soon (yes~! Finally~!!!).. So just bear with me for 1-2 more days yaR...

Ps: I SWEAR i didn't assasinate it, it really died due to accidental cause... =)
