Girls Out Loud

Watched Girls Out Loud for the first time yesterday.. Was a little disappointed.. i felt that show's a little bimbotic.. When they played counter strike, their comments were like "oh my god" here and there.. Nothing much..

When they went to the mixed reality lab, and tried out the gadgets.. I thought the show would educate us on what is it about and how it works.. because it seemed quite cool from the way they introduced it.. But no... all it showed is how the girls fooled around with the 'special slippers'.. And i still don't know a single thing about how it works... Even when they interviewed the guy, who's supposed to explain and describe their mixed reality stuff... The girls diverted the focus of the interview on how handsome the guy is, and that Wendy has a crush on him... Blah blah...-__-...

The interviews with the other bloggers is also quite weird in some sense.. There's a blogger who likes to take nude pictures of herself.. Her interview is super weird.. She never seemed to answer any questions to the point.. The whole interview was made even worse when Wendy keeps sniggering and making faces (not very discretely) in front of that blogger... to the extent that i think is a little rude. I don't think she should blatantly make known of her own feelings if it's at the expense of others..

There's also another blogger turned model who wished to ban Wendy from Orchard (It all started with Wendy's blog on the aerosol spray incident).. They were supposed to 'fight it out' verbally at a place, set up looking like a boxing/wrestling ring.. They lashed it out, always Wendy turning out to be on the winning side (though i don't see why...). Supposedly the fierce battle between 2 bloggers... But i think they turned out to be quarreling like some typical ah lians... Hahaha... super lame..

But overall, i think the show is all about knowing more of Xiaxue and how great she is... It can be seen when the show pretty much defamed other bloggers by putting them in a negative light, and her in a positive light... Not much of educational value from this show.. But it would score high as a reality tv show though.. We can see how bloggers reacts and handle the situation when they come face to face in real life with their rival enemies... I also noticed that these famous bloggers don't really have great communication skills (as compared to most artistes...) judging from their interviews and body language.. Perhaps this may be a cause of concern.. since blogging is becoming such a widespread phenomenon today...

So if you just wanna relax without using your brain, or if you love to know more about Xiaxue in real life, then go ahead and watch Girls Out Loud!!!

Though i don't think i would. HAha..

TV variety/reality shows are not meant to be so formal and serious..

Sometimes it is the effect producers want, not up to artistes to do wat they want.

But anyway, dun u think that blogger who petition to ban XX on orchard road sounds so childish and ridiculous? It is not like when the 'Men in White' trying to ban CSJ from moving leh.... She doesnt have such powers.

XX's petition is much more decent anyway. Not supporting her but from a rational point of view. So naturally, she will win.

Hmmm.. but i think Girls Out Loud is neither formal nor serious leh.. Haha.. i know it's not meant to be a reality tv show, but the way their responses are not prearranged beforehand (unless it's all an act) is an element liken to a reality show, i.e. very real

Eg, XX stormed off the scene aft e argument; XX sniggering at another blogger's comments and so on..

Yeah, i think it's quite ridiculous too lar.. but during the 'battle', they were arguing how beautiful/ugly that blogger is.. something that has no link with that incident..

And when they award 'points', it's based on XX's ability to return witty comments, not on e issue bah..if i didn't remember wrongly.

It's like almost every comment XX made, they award points.. When the other blogger did return similar comments, she din get e same treatmt..

Ya, of course all these points awarding stuff are the effects that the producers created.. But it seems like they portrayed XX in a +ve light by making e other bloggers look ridiculous... Maybe they are, but the producers amplified it..

Haha, whatever the case.. BAsed on that episode, i think the only interesting part of this show is to see how they really deal with such real-life awkward situations.. And the good part is they didn't censor it.. lol.. Other than that, it seems to me that the structure of that show is a little messy..and the only clear aim of the show is to make XX look good..

Erm i dun get quite wat's ur point when u say "but i think Girls Out Loud is neither formal nor serious leh.. i know it's not meant to be a reality tv show, but the way their responses are not prearranged beforehand (unless it's all an act) is an element liken to a reality show, i.e. very real", cuz i said "TV variety/reality shows are not meant to be so formal and serious.."... my point is this show is not supposed to be serious and formal, tt's why the interview diverted the focus.

Then when i talked abt the "effects producers want", im talking abt the way artistes talk, interview, laugh, response, act etc. In other words, 节目效果 or 梗. So not really talking abt the points and stuff.

Imagine a variety show when the artistes did formal interview with the guy, talk abt the gadgets and stuff. Like this is interesting meh? Tt's why producers expect artistes to do some 效果 or 梗 to make it funny and attractive. Ha

Oh i misinterpreted your point den.. I thought Girls Out Loud isn't a reality tv show?? when it comes to reality tv i'm thinking of Survivor, Fear Factor n stuff.. n i tot u meant tt Girls Out Loud is nth like reality tv.. haha, ok nvm.

hmm... i'm not saying tt it muz be formal.. but if u were saying that ir'a 效果, den dun u tink it's overdoing it? make e whole trip to thr seems like redundant n senseless liao.. since all they focus is just how cute the interviewer is..

i dunno.. maybe it's only me who don't c the pt of this show bah.. lol..
